COVID-19 vaccination requirements

Stryker is driven to work together with our customers to make healthcare better. In order to fulfill our commitment as a federal contractor, while focusing on the health and safety of our employees and those that we serve, COVID-19 vaccines will be required for all Stryker US employees effective January 4, 2022, as well as all new US employees joining our company. Fully vaccinated persons are those who are >=14 days post-completion of the primary series of an FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccine. If you are applying to a sales and field role which requires access to customer accounts as a function of your job, you may be required, depending on customer requirements, to obtain the COVID-19 vaccination before the January 4 effective date of Stryker's vaccine policy. What you will do-
  • Responsible for the sustainment and development of novel, cost-effective formulations and formulation-based products that advance the division's capabilities and supports the long-term growth strategy. With a focus on formulation development, provide technical skills, leadership, innovative thinking and customer focus, while engaging with other divisions and third parties to sustain and deliver new formulation based products that solve the needs of the market
  • Approaches complex problems with an inquisitive nature-embraces multifaceted inputs to develop comprehensive & creative solutions
  • Plans and leads product development from proof of concept to pilot scale and to market release as applicable
  • Partners with Advanced Operations to facilitate the transfer of new formulated products into design specifications and manufacturing processes
  • Collaborates with our Sales and Marketing teams, as well as customers to better understand business and clinical needs, and translate those into value propositions for business investments
  • Supports the alignment of Regulatory and Marketing on product claims and launch strategies
  • Researches and develops novel comprehensive test methods and systems to support new products
  • Possesses proficiency with project management principles to effectively meet technology readiness objectives and other project milestones to achieve desired outcomes
  • Leads the development of technical protocols, stability programs, and technical reports to achieve project milestones and meet new product requirements
  • Sponsors studies with test facility for clinical feedback as applicable
  • Provides leadership in business updates/presentations to management and stakeholders
  • Provides formulated product subject matter expertise to other areas of the business


What you need-

Required
  • BS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or an equivalent technical degree required.
  • 4+ years of formulation development experience, or equivalent required
  • Basic chemistry laboratory skills required.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills and ability to plan/prioritize activities required.

Preferred
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Science field preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge of personal care product formulation development preferred.
  • Knowledge of FDA requirements associated with the development of pharmaceuticals and medical devices including Design Controls and the technical support required for regulatory submission preferred.
  • Experience with pilot or production scale mixing equipment is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present issues, plans and objectives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literate.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to plan and prioritize activities.
